Names

We've decided on names for our soon to be born child (one month from today)...

Girl:

Anna Sophia Elizabeth--We'll most likely call her 'Sophie' and/or some variation of 'Anna Sophia'

'Anna' because it means grace. 'Sophia' because it means wisdom and 'Elizabeth' because it means consecrated to God. Thus, gracious wisdom consecrated to God. We want her name to serve as a lesson and reminder of the godly women who have impacted our lives; namely, that wisdom should be dispensed always with a measure of grace.

Boy:

Caleb Jackson--We'll most likely call him 'Jack'

'Caleb' because he was faithful to believe God's promises about the Land. And 'Jackson' because Kirsten is desperate to name a boy after C.S. Lewis (his nickname was 'Jack') but she won't let me use 'Clive' or 'Staples'. Thus, Jackson. We'll then have Joshua (Aiden) and Caleb, the two faithful spies who admonished Israel to trust Yahweh at his Word and take the land. We want the name to call him to faithfulness to God's promises and, in boldness, lead Yahweh's people in taking the land.
